Practice plan

Your first week with Mello: a calm practice plan

You do not need perfect scores on day one. This week-long plan turns Mello’s Daily and Endless modes into a gentle skill ladder while keeping sessions short.

Day 1 — Learn one clear

Play Endless until you complete at least three line clears. Ignore the high score. Focus on what a full row or column looks like just before it clears. Read the how-to-play guide if controls feel unclear.

Day 2 — Finish one Daily

Open today’s Daily and play your official run calmly. Whether the score is high or low, you now understand a fixed 30-piece sequence. If you want, one practice replay can show what you would change — without pressure to beat anyone.

Day 3 — Keep a combo alive

In Endless, aim for five clears in a row without a dead move that resets combo. Use the scoring guide so you know why multi-line clears jump in value. Small reliable clears beat heroic failed setups.

Day 4 — Repair holes

After a run ends, screenshot or remember the fatal hole. Replay with one rule: never create a single-cell cavity unless a Single is already in the tray. The strategy guide’s common mistakes section helps name the habit.

Day 5 — Plan a tray of three

Before placing the first of three pieces, decide the order of all three. If no order works, use the last move of the previous tray to open a pocket. This skill transfers directly to stronger Daily finishes.

Day 6 — Fairness confidence

Read the fair-play guide. Confirm for yourself that ads and optional purchases do not rewrite pieces. Confidence that the rules are stable makes practice feel worth the time.

Day 7 — Long calm Endless

Play one unhurried Endless session with reduced motion if you like. Goal: beat your week-one average lines cleared, not set a lifetime best. Install the web app if you want a home-screen icon for tomorrow’s Daily.

After the week, keep using Daily as a shared checkpoint and Endless as a training ground. Return to the guides when a specific wall appears — scoring, offline install, or accessibility — instead of rereading everything at once.
